Update: Geeta Cheddie has won the 1st Ward primary for Alderman by one vote. The final count in the race was 55 for Sarah Sterling, 47 for Geeta Cheddie and 46 for Carole Osterink. The committee congratulates Ms. Sterling and Ms. Cheddie and looks forward to working together in the 2010 Common Council.

Absentee Ballots are to be counted today at 10am in the 1st Ward Alderman race.
Sarah Sterling has already won her place on the Democratic line. Geeta Cheddie and Carol Osterink are in a tight race for the other seat. The count on election night was Osterink 42 and Cheddie 44.
